SECURITY FOCUS FOR YORKSHIRE BUSINESSES
by
Anonymous
Businesses in Yorkshire are invited to a free half-day seminar on Internet security on Thursday 18 April.
The idea for it came from Harrogate-based Internet solutions provider e-tempest and will help companies detect, prevent and respond to security threats aimed at undermining business operations.
e-tempest's Sales & Marketing Director Glenn Bartholomew, one of the seminar's speakers, said " On a business level, September 11's catastrophic tragedy highlighted the need for organisations everywhere to look at all aspects of IT security.
"Security is a business fundamental and in today's increasingly unpredictable and volatile world companies require watertight business processes, worry-free backup systems, secure offsite storage and high level disaster recovery solutions."
The seminar, jointly organised with InTechnology and iLumin – all recognised specialists in business protection services – is being held at InTechnology's Harrogate Data Centre at Nidderdale House, Beckwith Knowle. A similar seminar is to be held at InTechnology's London Data Centre on 16 May.
Both seminars begin at 9am and close at 12.15pm with a complimentary buffet lunch, followed by an optional tour of the Data Centre. For more information telephone e-tempest's Marketing Manager Lesley Spence on (01423) 859555.
