Two sheltered Picnic areas have been reserved for your eating convenience and relaxing.
The shelters are nestled back in the greenery in a secluded area of Rentschler Forest, with plenty of room for blankets, folding chairs and games, and there will be a clown for face painting and a children's playground on one of the shelter sites. There will be Arts & Crafts booths (we're also considering this an Arts & Crafts fair) which will include Doggie related arts and crafts, many Doggie related items and donations from local restaurants, businesses and entertainment parks to be raffled off, and demonstrations of Yorkie agility, obedience, and conformation. We will be having the "Not Quite Westminster Yorkie Show", which will include contests such as "biggest beer belly" (a tape measure WILL be used), "best kisser" (Yorkies ONLY), "biggest ears", and "smallest" and "biggest" Yorkie. Many vendors and dog club/rescue/puppymill information will be available. We will also have a Yorkie grooming demonstration and a Certified Canine Evaluator throughTherapy Dog International and AKC Canine Good Citizen. A Pet Photographer will be available throughout the day, taking portraits of your special babies. The photographer is coming from Louisiana and has handcrafted a set of fairy wings and a fairy type back ground for our babies to use (since they are all such angels). She also has a system that will print the photos on the day of the festival, you do not have to wait to get your pictures. A local Veterinarian will be available for micro-chipping and medical advice or needs throughout the day.

Official Yorkiefest T-shirts, for both humans and doggies, and mousepads are available online for purchase, and more items such as mugs, canvas bags, & hats may be available soon. All can be purchased by check, money order or credit/debit card. All pricing information and pictures of all Official Yorkiefest products are available online, as well.

Yorkiefest is shaping up to be very special and it will have something for everyone and everydog.
This being the first year for Yorkiefest we are still open to any and all donations, whether monetary, products/samples, or special doggie related items to be raffled or local volunteers to help "manage" the crowd and keep the day fun and organized.
Any vendors for dog-related items, or arts and crafts, and possibly food and drink vendors are welcome, as well as
any dog clubs, dog training schools, rescue groups, or organizations who would like to attend to set up a booth or hand out pamphlets, or generally promote their organization or would like to do any kind of demonstration, or possibly have a question and answer session.

A last minute bit of information; since we are bringing people in to learn about Hamilton and we are focusing on using Hamilton area merchants, the City of Hamilton has decided to present us with a Proclamation that states Sept. 8th will officially be "Yorkie Day" in the City of Hamilton! Please keep checking the website, as updates are constant.
